So I’m twitter bout to start trouble because that’s what its really for when I see all of these tweets about Gucci Mane and how everyone should feel sorry for him and him being committed is bad news. HUH!?!?! Now for those of you who haven’t heard yet “Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane has been committed to a mental institution in Atlanta, following a judge’s recommendation for him to serve jail time for violating the terms of his probation.”
Now, I don’t know about you but if I have one million or more dollars the last thing I would be doing is going crazy. Now I do understand that Gucci does have a drug problem and I am sure with the money he has made that he has increased the dollar amount on his habit, however! I refuse to sit here and think that I should feel sorry for him. Let’s run the list of why
Why I don’t feel Sorry for Gucci Mane
1. Because I can’t understand parts of his interviews
2. Because this moment truly does prove you don’t have to be a genius to do what he does
3. He has made a very nice living off of the words “Burrr” “Well Damn” and “Gucci”
4. All that Money should have bought him some help
5. Rappers in trouble and serving time have replaced actual promotional tours and shows
Now, I don’t want to kick a man when he is down and I really hope he is getting the help the court thinks he needs…However if he has an album coming out before 2015…I’M CALLING B.S! Cause if he is really out of his mind like that judge thinks he is..he needs 24 months of just detox ALONE! You seen how long it took for DMX to get the mental stamp. His comeback is officially on hold if there is one.
Maybe I feel the way I do because I don’t buy his albums, maybe I feel this way because I have a certain level of common sense, Maybe I’m just sick and tired of rappers going to jail and going to rehab and coming out only to go back and increase they twitter following by leaps and bounds and have “FREE Your Artist Here” plastered on 95% of the news feed that come through my Facebook account!
Either way my sympathy is 0! And I want any Gucci Mane fan to justify why I should feel sorry for him and Please don’t play the “You Black Entrepreneur” Card…because you know you don’t buy black owned everyday of your life. And the fact that Waka Flocka is his second coming says more than the latest news ever could….and you bought it. “Well Damn” (Gucci Voice)
