In a recent interview with Complex, he opened up about his career, why he created the music he did, why OG artists sometimes have issues with new artists, and Drake comparisons. He said, “People compare me to Drake all the time, but we’re very different artists because I have a lot of hard records. I’m very diverse, but in that aspect of my career, it paved the way for guys like that, which I’m happy for. I like a lot of his music too.”

After the success of his hit song, “Big Drip,” Fivio Foreign became one of the leaders of New York’s drill music scene. The 24-year-old Brooklyn native often uses the word “viral” in his normal conversations during interviews. It is a fitting word for him because his song went viral very quickly–putting Foreign on the map. The song came off of his 2019 debut EP, Pain and Love, and now he is back with another project, 800 BC.
During quarantine, Foreign checks in with our guy, B swift. He talks about the meaning behind the name of his new project 800 BC, what he’s been doing in quarantine, and the different sounds of Drill music. The moment Drake shared a rather cryptic image of him peeking through the shadows on social media, fans believed he was gearing up to release another surprise project in the same way as 2015’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and last year’ Care Package that celebrated all of his loosies released since 2010.

Sure enough, he delivered well on his word with Dark Lane Demo Tapes, a collection of songs that have found their way onto the interwebs as well as the No. 1 single, “Toosie Slide”.

Tiffany Haddish & Common have been rumored to be seeing each other for quite some time now. The two stars have been in quarantine away from each other so they decided to go on a virtual date via the Bumble Dating App.
Haddish talked about her preparation for the virtual date on Instagram with a caption saying, “I wore the black dress (drawers optional) for my @bumble virtual date with @common this weekend. Kelly Rowland Drops New Single, ‘Coffee’ & The Video Is Everything!

In her first single since her motivating 2019 song, “Crown,” Kelly Rowland is bringing us black girl magic with “Coffee.” In the song Rowland talks about having coffee along with some other things in the morning. Her lyrics read: “Coffee and sex in the mornin’/ Breakfast in bed, got me moanin’/ Before you go to work/ I need you to go to work/ Pardon my sincerity/ You know I’m a rarity/ My love be your therapy/ All around remedy.”
With the song being called Coffee, it only made sense that Rowland used the video to show off the beautiful shades and shapes of black women. In an interview with Essence, she said: “I want to celebrate the women in video—every shade, every coffee color, every curve, every essence and what they gave me,” she added, “My intention I set for the video was to take the light in yourself and your sexuality [and put it in] a God perspective, in a way where you don’t have to get any approval from anybody else.”

Playboi Carti Teases New Album Release

Playboi Carti has had fans waiting since 2018 for a new album. Tuesday night he posted a photo of what seems to be his new album cover. With no caption on either of his Instagram or Twitter posts, Carti has his fans excited and wondering when this new music will drop.

Playboi Carti is widely known for his 2017 hit “Magnolia” which came off his first album, Playboi Carti. The song inspired countless numbers of memes and dance battles. Following his debut project, Carti released his second album, Die Lit, in 2018.
Tuesday’s tease is for the release of his 3rd long-awaited album, Whole Lotta Red, although the cover features no red at all. We will stay tuned to see what happens next.
Cardi B & Fashion Nova Team Up To Donate Money To People Impacted By COVID-19

During this coronavirus pandemic, it’s important that millionaire celebrities do more than send thoughts and prayers (looking at you Diddy) and ask every day common folks like you and me to raise money for their foundations (looking at you Pharrell).
They need to actually put their own money where their mouth is.
Thankfully, this is what Cardi B is doing by teaming up with Fashion Nova to give away $1000 every hour to someone who is impacted by COVID-19. The two powerhouses plan on donating these funds until May 20, when they have reached a whopping $1 million dollars.
On Wednesday, the Grammy-winning rapper announced the giveaway on social media.
“Everyone has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic,” the Bronx native shared in a statement.
“Fashion Nova Cares and I have come with a way to help the many families in need,” she wrote. “Many of you are struggling to pay bills, feed your families, and take care of your overall essential needs … Tell us how the $1,000 can help you during these times. We’ll be reading your submissions and selecting stories every day.”
Are you someone in need? If so, you should definitely apply, especially since the process to apply is pretty easy: all you have to do is go to Fashion Nova Cares page, fill in your information, throw in your IG handle and tell them your story in 250 words or less.
Despite the fashion company’s own past issues with underpaid labor, Richard Saghian, their Founder and CEO, stressed that kindness and generosity is what we all need during these trying times.
“People are struggling to pay rent, buy food, medicine and other essentials for themselves and their families. We all feel compassion and concern for those affected by the Coronavirus,” said Saghian in a press release.
“Fashion Nova Cares with Cardi B will provide people with necessary relief to help them get through this crisis. As a community-driven brand, we are inspired by the kindness and generosity of others and we wanted to do our part to help those in need.”
As we’ve been reporting since the crisis first hit the states, the beauty and fashion industry has really stepped up also. Brands such as Estée Lauder, Coty, L’Oreal and LVMH got their hand in the sanitizer game too to donate them to hospitals in the U.S. and around the world. While designers such as Christian Siriano, Michael Costello, Brooks Brothers, Ralph Lauren have made facemasks to help protect healthcare workers or donated millions.

Floyd Mayweather’s Daughter Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing NBA Youngboy‘s Ex
According to Harris County jail records, Floyd Mayweather‘s daughter Iyanna, was arrested early Saturday morning on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Per TMZ, the incident occurred after Mayweather got into it with the mother of one of NBA Youngboy‘s children.

Mayweather arrived at a rental property that belongs to Youngboy where the rapper and another woman, Lapttra Jacobs were. Mayweather announced herself as Youngboy’s fiancée and told Jacobs that she should leave.
The pair began arguing in the kitchen when Mayweather allegedly pulled out two knives and stabbed Jacobs after Jacobs stepped towards her. She was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
