FBI RANKS INDIANAPOLIS AS #10 ON MOST DANGEROUS CITIES LIST #DOBETTERINDY

If you have been a resident of Indianapolis for the last several years you will know that the city is economically growing, many small businesses are flourishing and college students are getting their degrees to come back to help create jobs. It is a city that wants to make a major impact on the “map”. There are many people who grew up here or moved here looking to add value to the city. They see what Indianapolis has to offer and want to be apart of the delivery.

However according to Esquire.com the FBI see our city as a violent threat.

Indianapolis saw its overall violent crime rate climb by 2 percent from 2013 to 2014, although the FBI concluded that the years can’t really be compared due to changes in reporting practices. Overall, the Indiana capital had 136 murders, 573 rapes, 3,808 robberies and 6,251 aggravated assaults in 2014.

WOW, we need to #DoBetterIndy!

So how do we do that? By answering these questions.

  • What are some ways we can help stop the rise of violence in our city?
  • What ways can we bring justice to the families of those who lost someone due to violence?
  • What programs do we have already set up to prevent violence?
  • Why do violence occur?
  • Why is there a rise in our city?
  • How can someone who wish to get involved with the “stop the violence” movement get started?
  • Where are these programs located?
  • Who are the leaders in our community to advocate for the decline of violence in our city?
  • When are the meetings for these events?

Once these questions are answered and shared with every person who is ready to add value to this city by making it a safer place then maybe we can be a better Indy.

Rest in Peace RikoV317.
