Zoe Saldana and her husband Marco Saldana have solidified their status as relationship goals AF.
Earlier this year, the couple made headlines when it was revealed Marco, formerly Marco Perego, took Zoe’s last name upon marrying in 2013, which completely turned typical gender-norms on their head, and thus, was initially #marriagegoals.
Last night, Zoe posted a photo of the couple with their identical twins in celebration of #NationalTwinsDay to Instagram. The photo, above, is captioned in both English and Spanish and features Zoe, Marco, and their 9-month-old twin boys, named Bowie and Cy, in a candid family portrait.
With regard to the fact that the boys’ faces are concealed, Zoe had this to say:
“I just don’t want 16 years from now to get ‘You are so disrespectful. You invaded, you exposed me and I wasn’t ready,’” Saldana shared with E! News at the Los Angeles Film Festival. “Even though they’re babies and they’re under our care, it’s still their face.”
She continued, “Right now, they’re not in the position to speak for themselves or make a decision…I don’t want to make it for them.”
