Seems that Jay Z‘s legal problems keeps growing after allegations of illegally sampling on his hit “Run This Town.”
The NY Daily News reports, Hov’s track, which features Rihanna and Kanye West, samples Eddie Bo’s “Hook & Sling” and record label Tuf America alleges the superstar sampled it without permission.
Tuf America seeks monetary proceeds from Jay’s track and damages.
The label also wants to make sure further distribution of “Run This Town” is halted because of the illegal sample. This isn’t the only lawsuit from Tuf America toward Roc-A-Fella Records, the NY Daily News reports, the first two lawsuits were settled out of court.
“Run This Town” is from Jay’s hit album The Blueprint 3 in 2009.
