What’s good people?!? So one #funfact about Ms EKlass is that I’m a huuuuuuuuuge Michael Jackson fan. I mean a huuuuuuuge fan! I know all of his songs, have his and J5’s records (talkin’ vinyl folks), his book, and absolutely love his film Moonwalker (many of y’all don’t know about that). I was so devastated when I received the phone call to turn on the news. I was unable to turn on the news at the time because I was in Eagle Creek fishing (well…watching folks fish). My mom and my aunt-in-law (is there such a term) were each on the line losing their marbles as was I. I couldn’t believe it. I felt like a chunk of my childhood had been robbed from me at that moment. I remembered how I felt when I attended his concert at what was once Market Square Arena. I was a tiny tot then, but I remember it vividly. I even wore my signature gray “MJ jacket” equipped with 100 zippers lol. *Snaps out of dream sequence* I then realized how not only did I, but the world lost a music icon. I was so sad, so confused, and of course asked the question “why.” I’ve learned to let go and let God, especially when dealing with the acceptance of death. I’m sure I’m not the only one who felt as if I lost a loved one, a friend, and a hero. Michael Jackson, you are truly missed, and there will never be another you. EVER.
