UPDATE: 2Chainz Freed From Jail

2 Chainz is out of jail after being locked up for possession of what authorities thought were brass knuckles but actually was a four-finger ring.

The “Riot” rapper attempted to explain to police at New York’s LaGuardia Airport that he wasn’t holding a “weapon,” however, they still took him into custody and even confiscated his gold jewelry.

“They tried to assassinate my character, they tried to assassinate my swag, it was just a negative dilemma earlier where someone misconstrued a piece of jewelry for a weapon and stuff.”

2 Chainz was initially charged with misdemeanor possession of a weapon in the 4th degree. He eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser unspecified charge after spending nine hours in the slammer.
