Last night (Thursday April 5) the VA’s own Timbaland and Missy Elliott were reunited for Hennessy’s White Rabbit launch in New York.

Missy has been noticeably absent from the stage, dealing with personal health issues, but she’s officially kicked off her career relaunch, and is prepping the release of a new album this June, alongside Timbaland.

They debuted new music for fans last night, one of which samples Run-D.M.C.’s “Here We Go (Live at the Funhouse).” Despite the illness that once forced her to take time away from the spotlight, from the sounds of the new music, Missy hasn’t missed a beat.

Tim threw in a bunch of throwback joints, including “Promiscuous Girl,” Hot Back,” and performed “Carry On,” after his partner in crime left the stage. He later launched into some of the classic records he produced for Aaliyah, and Jay-Z, among others.

Erykah Badu also hit the stage, first to introduce Missy and Timbaland, then for her own set. She closed out the night rolling through the likes of “Soldier,” “Love My Life,” and her debut single “On and On.”
