AllHipHop.com reports LBC Rapper Snoop Dogg is attempting to enter into the Guinness Book of World Records.
The Doggfather will attempt to break Reverand Run’s record that was set in early 2010, with Run’s “Daily Words of Wisdom”.
Tomorrow (August 23rd), Snoop will send out his message for fans to re-tweet between 12:00 AM that morning an12:00 AM the following Wednesday.
Snoop spoke to All Hip Hop about the attempt, “Hitting four million Twizzles is a big moment for me and I want to thank all my fans for their continued support, I want to show the world how powerful and influential social media and my fans are, which is why I am attempting to set the world record for the most ‘retweets’ on Twitter.”
Snoop will promote the campaign on a variety of popular social networks including Twitter, Ustream and Facebook, in conjunction with his weekly #PuffPuffPassTuesdays series.
The New York Times even acknowledged him one of the Top 10 influencers on Twitter.
“We’re always excited to see new records set in the world of Social Media, and as with all potential record-breakers, we wish Snoop Dogg the best of luck with his attempt. We will be liaising directly with Twitter on the verification process,” said Dan Barrett, Community Manager, Guinness World Records.
