Well Danica Patrick is bringing in the big bucks! Patrick is the 3rd highest paid female athelete. What’s she been up to that’s bringing in all this money?
Danica Patrick is figuring out her racing future from a formidable financial footing.
Forbes.com reports this morning that the IndyCar Series driver is the third highest-paid woman athlete in the world ($12 million), behind tennis players Maria Sharapova, ($25 million) and Caroline Wozniacki ($12.5 million).
The Associated Press reported Tuesday that sources say Patrick will make her NASCAR Sprint Cup debut in 2012 with Tony Stewart’s team. Patrick has been pondering a move to NASCAR for some time and has been driving stock cars in the Nationwide series.
“A permanent move to NASCAR would certainly boost Patrick’s income,” Forbes.com says.
Patrick, 29, finished 10th in the 2011 Indianapolis 500 after leading 10 laps.
