32-year-old regular on BET’s “106th and Park,” whose real name was Corey McGriff, was down the street from his Staten Island home when his killer approached about 2 a.m. Sunday morning and fired a single shot into his stomach. He died on the street before paramedics arrived.
“We don’t know what the motive was. We don’t know what preceded the incident, and we would love it if some witnesses came forward,” a police source said.
But about three months ago, a person who claimed Megatron owed them money began posting a flurry of nasty messages on nearly all of the deejay’s videos on YouTube.
I hope his family finds justice.
