Weather Update: Indianapolis Metro Area and Up to 9 Inches Of Snow

The rule of thumb is the heavy snow will fall about 150 miles north of the surface low.  This places a axis of heavy snow just north of Indianapolis – through the heart of the state.  The change over to snow is expected to come from north to south – here in the city after midnight (around 2AM).  A heavy. wet snow will fall through sunrise.

Snowfall amounts could range from nothing to 9″!  The fickle track will be monitored – any adjustments in the track will result in a shift in snowfall amounts.
