Deadline reports that Oscar-winning director/actor Clint Eastwood is on board to direct the fourth version of A Star is Born, with Beyonce as the leading lady.
The film debuted in 1937 with Janet Gaynor in the lead role, was remade in 1954 with Judy Garland and again in 1976 with Barbra Streisand.
No starring male has been cast yet, says Deadline. Among the names being floated: Will Smith, P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Eddie Murphy, Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Hamm. Shooting will being in the fall.
