Los Angeles authorities are reheating a cold case.
New information has reportedly sparked renewed interest in the murder of rap superstar Notorious B.I.G. 13 years ago. But no one’s saying what triggered the activity.
CNN quotes law enforcement sources who say the case was, quote, “reinvigorated” months ago. Investigators ranging from the Los Angeles Police Department to the FBI are reportedly involved. The hip-hop star, born Christopher Wallace, was shot and killed on March 9, 1997 in Los Angeles. Wallace, also known as Biggie Smalls, was driving away from a music industry party when he was gunned down.
He was just 24 years old.
